Howards Cams?
Hey guys I'm looking at buying a roller cam package for my SBC. I have heard about this "Howard's Camshafts" company and was told they sell roller cam packages for around $500. I go to their website however and it's all under construction
. How do I find a listing of what grinds and packages they sell? Also has anyone bought one of their retrofit roller cam packages and could give their opinion on it?Thanks, Keith |

Look at www.competitionproducts.com These folks are partnered with Howard's and are a very good source for internal engine components, especially valvetrain and camshafts/lifters. It is one of the first places I go to looking for parts in every engine build I do.
FYI, Howards is one of the oldest names in camshafts, started around the same time as Isky and Herbert in the early 1950's. Howard's ran a famous twin SBC engine slingshot dragster(two engines side by side with the flywheel ring gears meshed together, each engine tilted about 30°) called the Howard's Cam Bear in the very early 60's. |

Oh my, does Ericnova72's statement bring back memories. You bet! Howards has been around for years. I use to use the Isky cams and sometimes Crane cams but always used Howards lifters because they worked. As far as durations and cams. Summit racing carries Howards and they have some available cams with durations available. Check this out! may help?
