The machine is a 111W153 with a 20 needle. the thread is 92 poly. The material is a cloth based vinyl on top of i/2 inch sew foam.

It looks like it's right on. The needle thread and the bobbin thread should be locked ( that's why they call it a lockstitch machine) in the center of the thickness of the material you're sewing, and look the same on both sides.

Your present settings may not work on different fabrics with different thicknesses. When you start sewing other things, you should do a test run to make sure it's still sewing that way before continuing.

One lesson I did learn is to have test pieces of your work in order to test your tension. As my prevoius posts have stated, I've seen things go wrong. Question: Why does this machine not stitch perfectly straight? Semms the stitches are a little cocked to the side.
