hp guess

okay, I know this spec sheet has holes, but please give it your best guess.

383 chevy
5.7 rods
ported RPM airgap intake
ported stock heads (I don't know the casting numbers) with 2.02/1.60 valves
9.8:1 compression (flat top pistons)
long tube headers
750 carb
HEI (accel componenets
the magic 268 cam with 1.6 rockers

Any ideas to help me get a few more ft/lbs of torque are apprecaited. I Love me some cheap and easy torque.

e-tec 170 heads

your heads are holding you back. i am no expert but i would think those heads are costing you about 100 hp and 75 ft lbs

What 268 cam? There are a few out there. Also, the casting number of the heads is located between the rocker studs.

I know the heads are limiting, but with a really good porting job do you think 400+ hp is possible (flywheel)

As I mentioned earlier...locate the casting number on the heads, not all heads are the same. Also, Several companies have a "268" cam, which do you have?
