Hughes 2500 stall converter

I just got finished searching for an answer and couldnt find what i needed.I am trying to find the best 2500 stall out there and read alot of negative comments on the b&m converters.I have to admit that i installed a b&m 2500 stall in my truck a couple of weeks back before researching. I have got a buddy who has been working on a 69 camaro for 3.5 years, and decided to go with a 4 spd instead of an automatic. The tranny is a th350 and he has a Hughes 2500 stall that he wants to sell. The tranny needs a rebuild and the converter is new in the box, i told him that i might be interested in the converter. He wants $100 for the Hughes converter, should i buy it? If i was to buy it, would you go thru the trouble of dropping the tranny again to swap out the b&m to the Hughes? The only thing thats weird is I would have a easier time selling my B&M converter than he has had trying to sell his Hughes converter. Is it because that the B&M name is heard more often than the Hughes name?I do not mind "upgrading " when it comes to Quality, if the the Hughes is indeed better than the b&m. Please help he out with this decision, I really dont mind swapping it out, only took me a little over 3 hrs to swap out the converter a couple of weeks ago. Thanks in Advance....Jay
