What have we become ?

What'sup with this sign ?
There's one in Montgomery, Texas with an arrow pointing to the left.
I'm wondering if they're using this method to direct people that can't read to the Library ?

I thought of that and that's what the "what have we become" was about. Stop signs still say STOP and not ALTO but maybe this sign would be more ACLU friendly.

If a different language offends you, do NOT go near Quebec province which is 100% Francais, no exceptions.
Ottawa, our Nation's capital is fully bilingual, so stop signs say Stop Arret

(I promise that if I see a Rret, I'll stop it!)

I too, am fully bilingual - English & obscenity!

Doesn't offend me, Dave, I just want everyone to play by the same rules but that doesn't seem to be the way these days. (aka "when in Rome" yanno?)

Yo Mo, what a pleasant surprise - - have a great weekend.

Classic Norman Rockwell

I sure wish I had found this before Memorial Day and posted it then but I just now found it so I'll do a Post-Memorial Day Post that is 100% Americana and Gearhead. I think this may be my new Desktop !

What a neat picture. Look at all the details in that, including a picture of the soldier hanging on the wall from the local newspaper. Look at the fascination in the eyes of them all as they listen to the young soldier retelling his experience fighting the War in the Pacific. Just look at this picture for a few minutes and you feel like you are there!!

You betcha, I think he was the best ever at capturing the time, the place, the emotion and make you feel like you were there.

Here's where that pic came from if you would like to see more.
