You can ask Joe Padavano on here; he may have some leads. I believe this was sold as an aftermarket kit as well; however I do NOT know if there were fitment/quality issues with the later units or not. They pop up on fleabay from time to time.

Present!

As you probably know, the Lightning Rods were only used in the 83-84 H/O. There were aftermarket versions sold by Hurst, but some were four speed AT versions and some were three speed versions. I'm pretty sure the mechanisms are common between the aftermarket and factory installed four speed versions.

Your problem is that about the only way you will get parts is to buy a complete unit. The ones I've seen for sale have insane asking prices ($600? Really?). There was one at Fall Carlisle for sale, so they do show up. You might want to try the Hurst/Olds club. The Hurst/Olds Club of America
