hurst/summit 4 speed shifter questions

I need a 4spd shifter for my 65 Biscayne w/a Muncie M-20.

The Hurst 4 spd shifters are now $369.....a lot of money.
I see that Summit has their own brand of shifter for around $100 &
am wondering if any of you have used this shifter, if so, how did it
work?

Don

As the old saying goes,"you get what you pay for" Check on e-bay and craigs list for a Hurst. At least you can get the parts to rebuild one.

I prefer the old hursts to the new ones to be honest. Plastic parts and QC issues. You want expensive price out a Long (brand) shifter for that M20. Kudos to you for keeping that 4spd

After B&M bought Hurst quality dropped & most became Chinese.
Summit shjifter is probably the same part as Hurst with no name or Summit branded.
