Hydraulic clutch conversion

Hi have a 1964 Pontiac stratochief with a 3 speed manual gearbox... I want to change it to hydraulic from linkage... Will it be possible to do this with a hydraulic throw out bearing but still using the standard flywheel and clutch... And how much travell will be needed for the release of the clutch...

You might look at Howe, McLeod, and Ram for starters, there are prolly others out there but these come to mind. Speedway Motors has them all, but the MFG websites will likely have spec's...

Hydraulic clutch

Ok thanks... If I were to put a master and slave cylinder instead of a hydraulic release bearing what should the bore of the master and slave be.. Would this work oath the original release fork, throwout bearing, pressure plate and clutch... This conversion has got me very stumped cause I have used a Toyota hilux master and slave but I am not getting enough travel from the slave so I went to a bigger master this just made the peddle extremely hard but no extra travel on the slave...

The larger bore on the Master should move more volumn, hence the slave should extent further as long as it isnt at it's max. The harder pedal can be fixed be the leverage ratio from the pivot point on the pedal to the master. Needs to be shorter

Ok thanks very much I've put a 3/8 master and slave cylinder and in getting about 30mm of travel from the for and it still just that little bit to short... This is after I have adjusted the shaft from the slave... Could this be cause by some geometrics or just that the master and slave don't have enough travel
