after you pump up the hydraulic lifters how easy should it be to push the valve down? and is there any certain way to adjust the valves with hydraulic lifters and roller rockers? thanks.

I was trying to look that up in the knowledge base. It is a lot easier to find things now that the outline has been set up. The search engine still brings up a ton of info that I could care less about. It would be nice if the outline would have even more specific categories going down to valvetrain articles.

You heve to go thru the steps to find it.
Knowledge Base, Engine, Articles, then it gives a choice of Articles hit #14 for valve adjustments.
There is almost something for every car.

manufacturers recommendations

alot of manufacturers recommend you not pump them up before adjusting. if you over tighten you may clip a piston. i always prime motor after it is built.

I usually run the engine for a few seconds with all the rocker arms loose to pump them up. Then I adjust them with the engine off.
