I am new, with the 01 Jeep Cherokee Sport

I am new here but love what everyone and how everyone helps each other. I as you know from my profile post, am living only on my V.A. Disabled pay and now that my wife is VERY ill as well, I have to do things very very CHEAPLY, as medical comes first but I still need to make my Jeep correct too. I was given very nice polished rims for free and my friend told me what tires, big, to put on my jeep with my tax return money (wife said yes to tire ONLY) but he forgot to check clearance issues with my wheel wells, so after shop put on my cool tires, I had NO clearance. I can't afford even the cheapest lift kits so i bought and friend installed air shocks on back where you run little air lines to fill up and raise shock at air pump, which worked, I have clearance in back now, 3 inches between tire and fender, even though with my really messed up back, I drive slow over bumps as air shocks don't "give" BUT...my front clearance, now that I trimmed inside of wheel well, is good for flat driving on roads but if I go over a dip in road or go down driveway, I here front tires eating away at my wheel wells. Since I can't get a cheap lift, will those little $20.00 Twist In Coil Spring Spacers give me 2 or 3 more inches of clearance up front? Thanks so much

I really don't think that will give you what you need.Plus they are junk.If you was closer I would try to help you out.Them things will only hold you up a little... (not much at all) Plus your spring will not be able to work like it was design too.

Remember.. it will lock your spring ,from being able to travel..And if you hit the right hole,They will come flying out.

Twist in coil spring spacers

I truly thank you for even thinking of wanting to help me, really,,,,and that's what I thought,,,I know it sounds like I am whining but it figures I can't find an easy/cheap way to do this. I very much appreciate your honesty and info. You have a great upcoming week but IF you can think of a very cheap way of raising my front end please let me know. People like you make serving my country and getting hurt worth every bit of it. Peace friend. Ed

Mr.Ed.. I too want to say thanks for the time you served.Thanks..I'm not sure how the front end of your jeep is made. But like I said if you where closer it would be no problem to come up with something.I do a lot of custom thing to frame's and also build custom frames.I have made lift's already. But not sure about your jeep without seeing it.Maybe someone on here may have done one,and have a easy fix.

I got it

Hey my friends, just HAD to tell you all that a guy found out I had a Water Pump he needed which I didn't need and he had a 2.5?? lift kit for a Cherokee and he gave me the kit AND put it on for me, front only as I already have airshocks in back, so then I gave him the water pump so I am now very happy that my tires don't rub AND I am raised up in air, yahoooo. Thank you all so very much for all your replies to my woes the other day. You all are fantastic, now all I gotta find is a rooftop spare tire basket with the little air scoop/dam in front of it to hold my spare tire very very cheaply. Peace to everyone. Ed
