I beam vs Tube axles

Yea, I know it's personal preference. But is there any handling/ride quality difference? I know I'm sick of the tube axle in my T bucket, mainly because the hairpins only allow minimal articulation. Is an I beam a little more forgiving? I can see where an I beam and hairpins would be better than a tube axle, it would allow more twist maybe. I'm sure with four bars it wouldn't matter which axle.

I was thinking of an IFS for my next project, but a chromed and drilled I beam is really starting to grow on me.

A I-beam is a little more flexible ... but not so's you can SEE IT ...

I have run both ... and the only rule I have is to NOT to use a tube with split wishbones.

Thanks, guess I'll just look at all the options.

BTW Duece, have you stripped of the $%#@ plastic off your front axle yet?

Looked through you journal and still can't find a good picture of your front end. I'm ASSUMING you unwrapped it for your road trip to the Nats.
