Don't feel bad. I have the same problem.

I don't have an "[img}" button like most do. I have to type the instructions in manually. Maybe, you will have to do the same.

To use the img thing, you need to have the picture in a gallery, like the Hotrodders.com gallery. The img is then linked to that.
Thats the way I do it anyways. I also use the gallery to link to my Yahoo group also. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/...yguid=66787492

I have also tried to put a picture in my gallery without success. I have copied and pasted the properties of the pic and it doesn't show up. When I look at the other people that have had success their path isn't the same as the one that I pasted. When I looked for the help on how to do it, I have followed that instruction without success. My only way of doing it is to refer people to my gallery. It should be easier than this.

Open up Microsoft PAINT. The FILE OPEN. Find your picture. Once you have it opened then SAVE AS and use a JPG extension. If the picture is originally a BITMAP (Bmp) it will be too large to post. Once it is a JPEG even though it looks big it uses less bytes than a Bitmap. Then attach the picture using the ATTACH FILE button below where you type in responses. You can post a pic directly from your computer this way. To post the actual picture where it is already opened up you have to save it to the web somewhere. The easiest way to do this is to post it in the PHOTO ALBUM. Then you can right click on the pic and get the PROPERTIES. When you do this then you can use the IMG button above and RIGHT CLICK and PASTE the PROPERTIES in the space called for. This will let your pic directly open up.

While the topic of posting photos is up....
I guess I should learn how to do this as well.
For this first attempt, I'm going to try this way. "Then attach the picture using the ATTACH FILE button below where you type in responses. You can post a pic directly from your computer this way." I'm also going to try this. "To post the actual picture where it is already opened up you have to save it to the web somewhere. The easiest way to do this is to post it in the PHOTO ALBUM. Then you can right click on the pic and get the PROPERTIES. When you do this then you can use the IMG button above and RIGHT CLICK and PASTE the PROPERTIES in the space called for. This will let your pic directly open up." Ok, I think???????Dan OK, it said the file was too big. I went to paint, and it was already a JPEG. I was able to get the pic from my Photo Album to come up.....Dan |

The easiest thing to do is use www.imageshack.com.
It is an image hosting site, simply click on browse and find the file you want to display then click "host it", it will bring you to a page with a bunch of options. Click the first option which says to display on a message board. It will copy the URL for you, then come back to where you want the picture....hit paste...and voila...picture in a post.
