I dont know what type of headers i have on my chevy 350

I got my engine from a friend of a friend and im trying to replace the header gaskets on them .. But i dont know what type of headers i have ..suggestion ??

I KNOW THIS IS NOT ALOT OF INFORMATION BUT I HOPE IT WILL HELP ..... ITS A CHEVY 350.. SMALL BLOCK .. IT CAME OUT OF A CHEVY CAPRICE 77'.......

The type of headers are irrelevant as far as the gasket is concerned. All that matters is the exhaust flange pattern on the heads. As noted above, all 1977 Chevy 350 motors use the same exhaust flange pattern and thus the same header gaskets.

Quality headers have minimum 3/8" thick header flange plates. Lesser thicknesses on cheapo headers will warp up like a potato chip and allow the motor to spit the gaskets out. If you have thin flanges, buy the most expensive gasket you can find so this will not be a weekly operation.

i hear a ticking sound coming from the side of my engine .. could that be the gaskets for my headers ??
