I give up How do i remove a ford tail gate?

First of all, i have had ford PU's for at least 20 years, i have removed lots of TG's, but this one is different, It is a 2000 F150, when i open the TG half way and lift up only the right side comes out, that is the only side with a cut-out in the pivot socket, the other side is solid, I thought it would have to slide to the right (pas side) after i remove the right pivot, but it don't, The tail gate is damaged and i have a new one, so i even tried to pry it out, no luck, HOW is it suppose to come out, do i have to unscrew the left pivot????

removing TG

It's not bent, because i tried to remove it once before with no luck, when it was fairly new and not dented in, seeing the TG is scrap anyway, i'll beat it over with the sludge, or something........

You tilt the gate down, when the right side slot in the hinge pocket is lined up, you pull out that side only, then when that side is out, you pull the gate to the right of the truck pulling the left pocket off the hinge on the bed.

If the gate is badly bent there could be some binding not allowing the gate to come off on the right side even when the slot is lined up, but that is how you do it.
