I got a deal on an used toolbox and some tools

I got a deal on a brand new 2 year old Matco top toolbox and some tools.A customer I know very well had them in his blazer and wanted to get rid of them.I told him that I wanted them and we made a good deal.I bought the Matco toolbox for $750.00 and a couple air drills for $50.00 which are cheapees.I have the toolbox in my home garage storing my die grinder bits, micrometers, two calipers.easy outs and my 4 good die grinders. The air drills work good and tried them tonight. The air drills go bad,I throw them away and I kept them for home use too

Hey that's great. Tools cost a ton. I usually buy new Crapsman--which are not the best of course but better than some--but even they strain my budget and I'm glad to get them when I can. Goodluck with that.

People knock Craftsmen tools and I really do not get it. I have a set of hand tools that were given as a Christmas gift in 1964. That was before metric BTW, I have used them to make a living and use them today. Most tool problems are at the handle end, used improperly..MO.

Air tools I prefer the ingersoll brand, I find they are quieter and have the best power, torque if you like. Body tools you can not get any better then the Hutchins brand, very nice control, plenty of power.

The top chest is Matco's 4 series top chest.I feel much better storing the die grinder bits, micrometers,a couple calipers and my 4 die grinders in this toolbox. My micrometers were in the storage box they came in laying around the bench.

Don't get out of joint over it- there are threads on this site that are MANY pages long, arguing the virtues/drawbacks of Snap On vs. whatever else, how good is Brand C compared to Brand X, etc. Example- Snap-On tools are for fools

I was just adding to the conversation, not implying anything beyond that, expressing a point of view. Take a pill.
