I got`em guys.

After years of trying to get my hands on a set of these rods, I finally did and included in them are ARP rod bolts. It was OddRodder from this site who turned me on to this idea (whom I havent seen in forever where are you Odd?) Odd had already built one and liked the results.
Anyways, they are the chevrolet L99 5.940 lenth PM connecting rods used in the 265 cubic inch 4.3 liter "baby LT1" V8 in the mid 90`s. I plan to use these in a 327 I`m building out of a 1996 Vortec block. I`ll use the 383 pistons as they`ll have the correct compression height. The blocks already been decked .010 and my next step will be to have it bored .030. I`ll be using a custom comp hydraulic roller cam, along with a crank from a 307 that I`m going to have balanced, drop in a 2 piece seal crank adapter with it. I`ll also be using vortec heads along with some other goodies. And to think, I scored these for $140, last I seen them on GM`s site when they were still offering them the price was over $300. I`m going to atlanta this weekend to see my nephew get his graduation present which is 20 laps in a real nascar on the atlanta track and it`ll be "under the lights" at night which cost us some $$$. The seller of these rods is in atlanta so I wrote and asked him if I could pick them up and pay him in cash, he said that was fine with him so looks like all worked out very well in the end. Every now and then, I get lucky on Ebay. Thanks all and have a great one.
