I hate Accel
Which coil is not recommended to use with MSD 6al? I'm using a accel super stock on my 350 p/u and has ran fine for the last few years, but now i see oil leaking from the coil (Replacing ASAP) and it stumbles on acceleration to a certain point. Has this coil possibly caused some sort of damage to the MSD box?

If the coil is leaking, it may very well be causing the stumbling. Guess you won't know for sure till its changed.

you arent the only one that hates accel. Accel makes the worst products for ANYTHING out there. i havent heard anything at all good about them....

I guess we all can have a bad experience with a supplier...I sure have!
I have used Accel plugs in Ford flatheads, Ford engines in general, and British and Harley bikes. Never a problem. I have had bad luck getting Champions wet and they go dead. Whatever works for each person's application. Tim

This thread of mine reminded me of a problem I am having. About a year and a half ago I had voltage problems (external regulator not grounded, I was seeing as much at 22V) One of my electric fan motors fried as well as my electric fuel pump. I have a MSD 6AL ignition box and I have replaced several rev limiter chips in it because they quit working after short while. Does anybody know if this is something MSD can repair or should I just buy a new box?

Accel And Msd Problems
Hey GUYS
Use an MSD coil with an MSD system.... Accel has been riding on their old reputation for the last few years.. their stuff has gone bad... CALL MSD...... REPEAT..... CALL M S D , don't guess....... CALL M S D
