i'm sorry bud but unless you have done some serious weight shedding on that truck there is no way it weighs anywhere close to 3400lbs, it should be about 5000lbs. and i certainly wouldn't go with a 210cc head.

acording to the registration this truck weighs 3,742 and I have done some weight shedding

What do you guys think about the patriot vortec heads part number 723-2151. The're 185cc and alot cheaper. they seem to flow pretty well.

with a good set of heads and and about a 292 cam will get you started in the right direction,, also if you could get a hold of some good breathing header,s would help out alot just make shure you dont go over the top on your cam lift you should b ok,,

with a pick up,try and get as much torque as possible.That 68 running 10s is a totally different fish.weigh your truck.my 1980 z-28 was registered as weighing 3570,I drove over the scales at mission raceway,actual weight was 3915,thats fat.Your pick up weighs more than my car did.
