i have a ? about front grill on 72 mustang

i have a 72 mustang fastback sprint . an i got a 73 model grill to go in it. will it fit in my 72 if not what will i have to do to make it fit. my car came with a mock 1 grill so it has the hook up for the lights in the grill and the 73 grill i got has a place for them so i didnt no if there is a diff.in it working i have hood pins so no hood latch if this helps

IIRC yes they should be the same. if you have the grill and the car easy to find out IMHO.

i have both car has been hit in the front and messed up the grill and i have tryed to putt it in the car and its just off alil bit so i need to no if it will fit it or is there sumthing else the madder with my car .... i no the 71-72 cars are the same 73 is diff. but i dont no how diff.

common sense would tell you if i got both i would have dun tried them or i would not be asking for help with my prob. thanks 4 ur help

It should fit as theyíre same except for the turn signals in the í73. There may be a bracket difference because of the turn signals, I canít recall as itís been some time since Iíve worked on them. Any tweaking you may need to do to mount the grill is probably due to previous installation error that you may need to correct.

so u think that my fender is mest up i have adjusted it over as far as it can go?

The only difference that i know of is the gill lights.

Common sense will tell you but you also said you had the grill in the car and it fit but not just right, And as you stated the car has been hit so i agree with the other post you will have to tweak it to get it right and then you should be fine.JMO But all and all it should fit IMHO.

A 73 grill will fit a 72 the demisions stayed the same for those year car, the lights and center look changed that's all maybe the horse alittle .

As far as looks the bumper and the grill design is alittle different, but as far as taking the whole doghouse and putting it on the 72 should fit with no problems other then lining it all up and that's anytime you do these changes. Changing the doghouse out is a straight out swap for a 72 and 73 IMHO
