I have a VERY understanding wife - Part II

Someone asked for some pictures of the '64 Polara so here ya go.

Southern cars, ya gotta love'em.

Little to no rust in the lower fenders and rockers.

Notice the original upholstery. And how about those pristine floors!

Specifics:

1964 Dodge Polara 2-door hardtop
Factory 4-speed, Hurst shifter
383 4-bbl.
8.75 rear, 3.23 gears, clutch type suregrip
Manual steering & brakes
Matching numbers engine and transmission
Bench seats with fold-down front armrest
Front sway bar
Delivered by Lenox Dodge in Atlanta, Ga. on May 13, 1964
One owner with complete documentation

The wife and I agreed to buy a car trailer later this fall when we sell our house. We're going to need one to move all our stuff and my toys to Arizona next spring. Well, SHE decided to buy one now instead of renting one to pick up the Dodge. Understanding is an understatement. I'm sure glad I decided to sit next to her in 10th grade English back in '64.

The owner accepted my offer and I'll be picking it up after the show in Pigeon Forge, Tn in a couple weeks. Since the plan is to completely restore this car and paint it black, the wife decided to give it a name, Elvira. When I asked why Elvira, she said, "Because it's going to be black, and it has a great set of headlights."

Now for the best part. I picked it up for $2000.

Centerline
