I just don't understand people.

Red kettle snatched from store

What kind of a lowlife idiot steals a Salvation Army kettle? I just heard on the morning news somebody nabbed another one in Des Moines. I did a Google search on stolen Salvation Army kettles and it appears this is happening all over the country. Listen scum, it's way easier to get a job for an income than to go around stealing somebody else's stuff. I just don't understand why some people will work harder at devilment than they will at any job. KEEP YOUR THIEVING HANDS OFF, YOU KNOW YOUR DOING WRONG!!! GET AN HONEST JOB AND BUY YOUR OWN STUFF!!!! Do you really want to burn in hell for an eternity because you couldn't keep your hands off things that don't belong to you?
I just don't understand!

because it's easy money for their next "fix"
junkies don't think clearly, just that they need another fix..
sad but it's the way it is..

I agree with GEARHEAD. Probably a crack head or a meth head.
They dont think clearly, any normal person would go IN to the salvation army and ask for the help they provide.
Maybe they should put a bear trap in the red kettle.

Yep, MAKE SURE YOU DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING OF VALUE IN SIGHT IN YOUR CAR! Those meth heads will do thousands of dollars damage to get into your car to steal $1.24 change!

Not to get off topic, but is the crack/meth thing that big a problem all over, or is it just in the cities?.....I dont hear of such stuff around here, maybe I am just not paying attention.

Now that the authorities are going after the pill mills (pain clinics) the *doctors* are going away thus the junkies are out of pills both for themselves and ones to sell on the street to customers. So being the junkie that they are, the natural progression is heroin to shoot up. Rob and pillage for the next fix.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Perscription pain killer abuse is every bit a problem as Meth/Coke/Heroin and would you believe also.. Bath salts..

A friend of mine recently lost her son to Heroin. He got into it, got clean, even helped others kick the habit, but eventually couldn't resist it and OD'd. Tragic. So easy to get hooked and damn near impossible to get away from. Getting the next fix is all they can think of. Destroys them, destroys their families. Before his death I was pretty much unaware of a heroin problem around here.

The small town where I was a former resident has had an ongoing drug problem. The local police are doing a commendable job of rounding up the meth heads & druggies, but the problem seems to be escalating. The town used to be a fairly quiet place with a pretty low crime rate, but lately it has become ridiculous. Most every week another meth lab gets discovered and busted, with no end in sight.
We now live about 10 miles away, and just last week there was a rash of thefts from vehicles (our included). And it seems only money was taken....probably so the meth head/druggie could buy another fix. What's the answer? D@&%&#ed if I know, except that we now keep a shotgun handy for protection.

big hole

A few years ago I found some kids smoking pot in the second floor-storage area of my shop, they had gone up the outside ladder at the hay door. I told them they were trespassing and one wise guy asked "who are you?" I said "I'm the guy holding the gun," he said "you will get in trouble if you shoot one of us". I told him " my backhoe will dig 18 feet deep, you won't even stink from down there."
