i know this isnt the interior buut

hi im redoing the dash and some of interior in my 63 sedan deville. i am getting rid of all the cotton nasty yellow stuff they used for sound and heat control.. in its place i am putting Bquiet ultimate. how many layers should i use on the firewall and floor boards to really sound proof my car? also im replacing my carpet. i want to know where to get the best deal on the 20/80 loop. not only a good deal but im looking for a quality product. i want it to fit perfect when i get it. completely molded. any tips will help. also i had to get rid of the jute underlay cause it smelled nasty and it was gross. i need a company that has the underlayment glued to the bottom of the carpet as well. anything like this and where do i find it?

I don't think you would be able to notice any difference with more than 2 layers.

As for the carpet Auto Custom Carpets ( www.accmats.com ) makes very good quality, has a bunch of colors, has very good customer support, and has a reasonable price (but not the cheepist). I think if you do a search for them you would have a hard time to find someone who was not happy with their carpet. Mine came with the backing glued to it. I also bought some more to fill in some of the groves in my floorboards to help level it out some and glued the pieces to the bottom of the stuff that came on it so it wouldn't move.
