I was playing around and removed some pretty heavy rust on my old car door about 5-6 yrs ago at my old shop and it cleaned up fairly well.
about 3 yrs ago I started sanding off rest of the paint and it just sat for 3yrs.
WOW!!! I disagree, I think your right on. That laser is incredible it removes rust AND paint. I wonder what something like that costs though.
Luke.....I'm your father.
just thinking about it. a chevy volt might be the perfect car.. or one of the other hybrids.. might be able to get laser power sourced out of the inverter.
since the volt motor drives a generator not the wheels .. it would start up without any need to spin the wheels.
this was on one of the links...
imagine... no more rusty stuff at swap meets..
call the company Patina be Gone. i think i drank too much water and my brain is rusting..
You could set up a table at the swap meets and make a killin, someone can buy a part and bring it right over to you its worth 50.00 just to watch it being done.It would probably only take 15 minutes to strip and derust a fender inside and out.
I know this post got side tracked but would like to see more of your work on your car. I'm on pins and needles here waiting. Not much time to work on my car but it's nice watching your progress while sitting here in a hotel room.
As luck would have it, I got jammed up at the shop again and had to stop working on it, but I did get some more work done and pics I haven't posted yet. I'll put them up tonight for ya.
