I LOVE Bargains!

Yup I just love 'em.
Wifey woke me up this morning to go to a yard sale that she saw in the paper...A Guy's Yard sale, mowers, tools, motors etc...
All Right
Oh yeah and they had Tiara and Fenton glassware(thats what she collects)
Anyways, we get there and there are no motors/parts...and everything else was outragiously high priced.
So I ask this dude, where are the parts at? He asked me what I was looking for...(well with me, anything that catches my eye)
So as a shot in the dark I say "4spd Tranny for a late 60's early 70's Camaro/Chevelle"
"Yup, got one...well actually got 2 of 'em"
I ask the price...$75 each, but if you want both, $120.
Looked at them both, one was a Muncie and the other was a Saginaw, both were complete from yoke to bellhousing, seemed to shift alright, no cracks or breakage...Looked like a decent deal to me. Picking them up in the morning. I just love collecting parts for the V8 S10 project
Later,
WEIMER

i just found a dodge van, i need the motor for mine , i asked if the motor was good , and she showed me the reciepts for the fresh engine job done in january , the slip for the 300. starter and the 250 dollar alternater, both less than 1 year.the engine job cost 1,500.00 and the tranny went shortly afterward.i drove it home for 500. and theres enough good parts, new brakes, struts tie rod ends, bearings, all with slips, to be able to make some of my money back.. yup deals just make you feel good.
