I need a 3500rpm +/-converter what to buy????

I'm looking for a 3500 +/- stall converter....
can't afford a hughes or the like..... whats the best $300 to $400 converter? I found some TSI on ebay but know nothing about them... currently have a b&m in s th350...sbc...

Thanks for any input...

We used a TCI street fighter 10 inch converter behind a 400 horse 400 small block for years when we used to mud race, it served us nicely, never a problem with it.

thanks for the response.... B&M or TCI seem to be the only choices I've got, for my price range....TSI's are alittle cheaper but don't know anything about them... I've had a B&M and don't think it's worked right...I may try a TCI this time...

There is a compant in Abilene TX called Torco that builds custom race convertors for $300. I have one in my S-10, but have yet to run it to see how it performs. They do guarantee it to stall to the point you specified if you give them accurate information about your combo. If they miss the stall point, they will restall it for free. They will also rebuild it at any point for $100. The price is certainly right, and it comes with a 6 month warranty. You will have to call information to get the number 915 or 325 area code. If you cant find it, let me know and I can get the info for you.
