Post I need a '50s Ford PU pittman arm.

Anyone out there have a pittman arm for a Ford 1/2 ton pick-up circa '55 or '56 they would like to part with? I need one.

I have two from a 1956 Ford F-100. Both of them have wear on the ball though. What I used instead was a pitman arm from a 1 1/2 ton '56 Ford truck. Same size and spline shaft, larger diameter ball and longer arm. I also used the rear section of the drag link to fit the ball. The extra length was good to have as I had to bend the pitman arm out and down to clear the split radius rods on my '28 Ford Closed Cab Pickup. I installed the '56 Ford F-100 steering to replace a Mustang box the previous owner had installed. Wrong box for split radius rods. '56 box works excellent.

One of your arms would probably work for me 'cause I plan to cut the ball off and drill and ream for a tapered rod end. How much do you want for it? Send me an email @ willys36@aol.com.
