I need an adjustable timing pointer...can anyone offer any pointers? heh

I got this 6.61" damper from Trickflow and I had no idea how hard it would be to find a timing tab to work with this! Sheesh.

I found a couple of somewhat cheap pointers. One is for 6.750" and one is for 6.600" diameter balancers. I would like to go use the one for 6.600" if possible to help reduce any paralax issues...but not sure if I will have any clearance issues on the 6.610" balancer. Any insights? Or more practical and cheaper solutions?

I think something cheap like this would lead to major paralax since it also clears 8" balancers.

I'm hard pressed to believe that .005 clearance difference on the radius would matter. What counts in this case is the ability to adjust the pointer to the right circumferential position to match your engine.

A bent coat hanger mig welded to the timing cover will work just as well. Bend--adj as required.

Timing pointer

The Summit Racing brand will work fine. These are adjustable too.
