Lou is right about the parts. I would check the frame real close before using it though. Many frames have had subframes grafted to them incorrectly though. You want to make sire it is safe.. Check the welds real good. If you are not a real experienced welder, which is likely with your age, have one check it. Nothing against your age, but we are talking safety here. If the welds check out, then chach the measurements real good. You don't want to go thru the trouble of building a truck, just to find out that it "dog tracks" or doesn't sit right.

Good Luck

Hey guys, you guys are right im not a real experienced welder ive welded some. i own a welder and have been in Ag, i sucessfully built a minibike with an 11 horse Briggs motor, with a jack shaft n all im just curious if anyone has seen one bigger? ... Anyway back on subject I drove the truck that was previously sitting on this frame, a 58 chevy, it drove like a newer car....plus the man who built it is experience and i think very well trusted. also if im running a low horsepower small block, should i trade the 2.73 posi for a lower geared single trac?

If I read right it has a Caprice IFS. This is too wide for your truck. The wheels will stick out past the fenders.

Don, is there much difference in width from the 58 body style to my 66?, becuase the wheels didnt stick out of that truck when it was on that frame. Could he have narrowed the setup?
