I need a drawing of a 1939 Ford
It can be a coupe, sedan, whatever. And a simple line drawing would be best, but anything will do.

I thought the 39s were a near twin to the 40s over here.
That one looks like a 37/8. Not really questioning you Malc, but do you have some different bodies for over there?? Bryan |

I screwed up, it´s a Chevy your looking at. For some reason I never gave the pic a proper title with manufacturer. I have a pic of a ´37 Ford but not a ´40. I did get me some ´40 ford pics but it never got drawn. Sorry for the mistake. |

Hell----shame on me----I did not even notice that it was a Chevy
I just noticed the 37/8 headlight pods |

I think someone should build the chopped one. Very nice slope to the windshield and the grille shell. Add some 37 Ford headlights or even use the newer Mercedes or Mini headlights. Great drawing malc!!

home brew check out Beenaway2long´s journal. He put it to one side to do the drag car.
That pic was for him. If someone can post a real nice, big pic of a ´39 Ford (side views are best) I´ll see what I can do. |

Hi Malc! Hi all,
Yeah, the '39 was sidelined for the Drag Car. Tough to turn down 153 mph, and the chance to pull the chute every Sunday! The chop is almost identical to Malcs pic, except there is a touch more rake on the roofline. Still have to do the B pillars and door tops, and push the rear window further forward. The only real departure will be the hood which will be pinched down 2-3" in the front. Think of a Downs 37 Ford, if you will. I'll tell ya, Malc helped me SOOOOO much with the chop from the other side of the pond! Using the base picture, I was able to photocopy about 20 sheets, and using a razor knife and straight edge, I was able to get the chop right on the first whack. WAY easier to cut paper than metal. Thanks again, Buddy! Well make that 30x over! The snake (Monte Python) you did for me MAY make its way onto a Junior Dragster for next spring!! I will definately forward you the pics. |
