I have a 1930 (or so I think) chevy 1.5 ton truck. I am yanking out the whole drive train. I want to put in a (rebuilt) 302 ford mustang engine with a 5 speed from out of a 1979 mustang. Does anybody have any suggestions about how I should design some motor to frame mounts? Same thing goes for the transmission mount too. I have never done this before but I am sure I can do it if I can just get some information about a something like this. Is there anything here on hotrodders.com I can read? I can't seem to find exactly what I need. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Speedway motors has a universal mount kit for the 302..I can't build a mount any cheaper than what they send..comes with the tabs to weld to the frame as well..for the trans all you need is a piece of tube long enough to go from frame rail to frame rail..I make mine so they bolt in...if you look at any trans cross member you will see how they are made..
I need engine mount bracket ideas 1930 chevy with 302 boss engine
Thanks for the info. I will look into it.
