I need a fabricator with a CNC bender

Looking for somebody to do some bending with a CNC bender. Would have to able to bend square stock in a 2D shape.

I need about 16 bars bent for a grille that is the contour of a 1948 Chevy truck original grille. The material would 6061-T6 or 7075 be about 1/2 inch tall and about 3/4 inch wide.

If any body knows where a bender can be found please let me know...

I would think it would be very hard to reproduce consitant bends. One of the bends is a long slope bend which would be hard to bend...

Any ideas are welcome

Did you check your local steel fabrication shops?

The one I used to work in has several press brakes. The newest one if computer controlled. I would not call it CNC exactly. Maybe NC would be more correct for it.

Anyway, it will make pretty much duplicate bends over and over once it is set.

I don't see why you can't bend it on a table with a torch if you set up a jig of some sort.

It would cost a fortune for the shop to do it for just 16 bars. Now..if you needed 1,600 or 16,000...then the cost would come down a lot per bar.

the profile on a piece of 2x12 (hardwood if available) rough out the shape with a jig or coping saw....sand it down to the desired profile.....take a rubber or deadblow hammer and beat it into shape
