Stinky,
yeah, i was thinking y.o.m. antique plates. i don't think i can help you. if you're applying for historic plates then i don't know what the license # would be. that seems strange, unless they want the v.i.n. # but there's probably already a place for that info, right? JB |

I hope Missouri is more lenient on Antique plates than Illinois. In IL you can ONLY drive to and from a show, parade or having the vehicle serviced. I currently have AV plates on my '62 and a State Trooper pulled me over for allegedly not having brake lights. They worked and had worked ever since I bought the car 10 years prior. Then he asks me if I'm "going to or from...................." I said "No, I was just taking it out for a drive because it had been sitting a long time." :surprised WRONG ANSWER !!!!! He wrote me a warning ticket and gave me a 15 minute lecture. I mean this guy was almost foaming at the mouth !
I didn't get reamed that bad when I got clocked at 93 in a 55MPH 20 years ago !!!

should of fought that ticket Glenn, cause you should be able to take it out once in a while as long as you're not driving it back & forth to work (remember you're WORKING ON IT), hell my bro has been driving his to & from work w/those plates for the last couple of months.
As for the cop, he was just the south end of a north bond horse, cause that was a BUNCH of BULL$H!T...........joe |

In California you can run the plates that match the year of the car ('36 plates on a '36 car) OR the plates that are on the car when you register ('53 plates on a '36 car). Can't put restored non-year matched plates on a car.
