Post I need help with MSD and Pertronix

Alright guys Im counting on you b/c MSD and Pertronix tech support can't help me. I have a 69 firebird 350 with an Ignitor I, a MSD6a, and a MSD blaster 2 coil. I have everything wired according to the diagrams, in fact the car runs quite well at low RPMs. But as soon as I hit 3500 RPM it feels like I am hitting a rev limiter. So i changed the coil and the car ran great for about 2 days, it went all the way to 6100 RPM without any hesitation so I thought the problem was solved. I thought i just had a bad coil. But just today it started doing the same thing as before. Just to eliminate any basic problems... I have run all new wires, soldered and heat shrunk all connections, and the battery terminals are new. I have taylor 8mm plug wires and the plugs are new and gapped at 45. The cap and rotor are new. I know someone has had this setup before can you please tell me if there is anything i need to do. One guy suggested a ballast resistor but Pert and MSD say i don't need one. PLEASE HELP THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! thanks

gm used a resister wire on their ign system . try replaceing the resister wire from the coil to the bulk head connecter on the fire wall with a 12-14 guage wire. a few other things too check is the distributer mechanical advance weights too see if they movible or wore out and vaccum advance .
also check your feul filters and replace them, then do a feul pressure test and a vaccum test on the feul pump . the pressure shoulld be 5-7 psi. and vaccum ??? maybe 2-5 inhes . also check for kinked feul lines and leaking lines and loose hose clamps.
