I need help with small block engine ID chevy
 

I have a 350 but i'm not sure of the date it was manufactured and where, if you can help please give as much info as possible. I did look on several web sites and had no luck. The numbers are VA065270.

I tried that page and no luck, thanks Joe.

The date code should be just above the bellhousing, If the engine is stilll in the car it makes it a bit harder to see the stamping.

On the back of the block there should be the block code and just over a bit from that should be the date code.

I will look at that location.

Look for stamped alphanumeric at the front-right deck,near the gasket.

I found it and I now know the engine .
