1600 or 1800 converter (is there a way to tell what converter i have?

Yes, install slicks or other tires that will hold traction on WOT launch.

Watch the tach right when you launch the car at WOT.
This is your true stall speed of your converter behind your motor, in your car.

Both those cams will work with a stock converter.
Both will work much better with a "2800stall" to "3000 stall" converter". (11" th350-th400)
eg:
B&M #20413 "holeshot 3000" for max performance.

A "stock" GM 12" th350 converter will usually stall about 2100 rpm behind a 350ci motor on WOT launch with slicks.
The stock 13" th-400 converters have a lower stall speed.

use the 268H if you have headers or use the lunati if you don't.
