I saw a 77 Maverick sell for $4400.00 today

I saw a 77 Maverick 4 door sell for $4400.00 at an auction today.

Straight 6 with a puke green interior, the cleanest old maverick that you have ever seen though, of course it was an old grandma car and she only drove it around town. The auctioneer claimed it only had 16,800 actual miles and the ac worked great. He was the most intense auctioneer that I have ever seen, and I have seen a few auctioneers.

Not a big fan of the Mavericks but they're cool cars compared to some other ones of the same year.

Cool

Man, a big bumper yet. I remember when only the 1970 small bumper version was worth more than scrap value.

I had a 1976 Mercury Comet that my dad and I put a 351C 2V into, with a FMX. That was a lot of fun. Could take most all my buddies cars in the 1/4, but nothing that was modified. Suprised a lot of people.
We had to cut the shocktowers down so it would fit. After we had it in for a week, the shock towers started caving in! Had to lift it by the motor, spread the towers and build a brace. Turned out okay. Until I hit that damn deer.
