I scored in heaven

From last weeks post, you know I went to a huge swap meet at Charlotte Motor Speedway this past weekend and here is the list of gold I came home with:
Two rear fenders for my rat truck, steel, trailer style: $40
Two Chrome Guide headlights: $40
A 1928 rear view mirror: $10
A Model T truck outside mirror: $5
20 bondo spreaders, 100 razor blades and a tubing cutter; $10
4 car dollies to push cars around the shop: $80
A print of the Pharohs from American Graffitti: $20
A Speedway gormet burger $6
A wonderful Cuban hogleg cigar: $4 (smelled like the bathroom of a New York pool hall)
Two come-alongs: $20
A 1/18 Die cast 55 Olds: $20
A 1972 Fastback Mustang: $300 (Donor car for Chop top 50 Ford) Friday night had it purring and the tranny works as well. Sat it came out and was steam cleaned. Anybody want a mustang body, no eng, trans, gastank, radiator?

Life, as I know it,....is good!

I'll take the '50, you can keep the mustang with engine and tranny. Aside from that, good job ol' boy, supervilous findings!

I picked up a 71 mustang the other day for the equivalent of about $523, engine and interior bitsperfect, but the body was stripped down to nothing and left to rot in their garden for 2.1/2 years [on the coast as well], so if you feel like shipping that body over to my side of the world, I definitely would not say no

If you wouldn't have spent all that dough on that burger you probably could have scored another car. Dan
