I sold my 03 Cobra and got a CTS-V (pic inside)

I'll post some more after I do a full cut and detail. I decided to get rid of the 03 Cobra a few months ago since my interest was fading. With the new Mustangs being so impressive I knew they would soon drive my resale down. I was hoping to go through the winter without a nice car but that didn't work out. It's a 05, last year for the LS6. It has some mods, cold air, long tubes, no cats, Monster clutch, custom grind cam, upgraded 07 differential, 3.73 gears. It's awesome, not nearly as fast as my 03 Cobra, but it does everything else better. After driving Cobras and old beaters for so long I'm really liking all the features. I might send the heads out for work but I'm not sure what I want the car to be. Hopefully it's a reliable car, it doesn't have a Northstar so that's a step in the right direction.

It's called stealth gray but it looks blue to me, the interior is black leather/suede.

I just sold my black on black 04 a few months ago. Fantastic car! But weak rear ends. Ls1tech has a great ctsv forum with more info on the rear end.

Most comfortable and stealth performer I've ever had.

I was just talking with one of the cruise guys who has a V. He has been thru the rear end thing a number of times. I think he now has a 4th gen. Just had it fixed a couple months ago.

The car is a great car. It is so smooth it is deceptively fast. He aso had it at Charlotte motor speedway earlier. He says there is a speed limiter and they bounced it off that on the track.

He has the 6 speed. It is the only thing that is not too good. It shifts like my Dodge diesel truck.

Traction control make it nearly unbeatable on the street.

These will probably be a classic one day so better grab one and hang on to it.

Mine shifts like a truck too. There are rubber bushings in the shifter that go bad and cause sloppy shifting. They're are good aftermarket replacements. Even in perfect form the T56 is my least favorite shifting trans thus far.

I think you meant to say rev limiter, not speed, it has both, I've hit the rev limiter a couple of times in 1st and 2nd, but the speed limiter is set at 191 mph, and I've only gone 145 mph. Also have the 6 speed, 1st is a bit lower than needed and 6th isn't as tall as it should be for good highway mileage. Jay Leno opened his mouth on it being a future classic in Popular Science. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out, average production numbers,

60,000 CTS per year
1,800 V's
180 V's with a clutch !!

That is why mine is only driven on trips about twice a month.
