I spotted a nice Riviera today (pics)

I don't particularly care for the wheels but it was a nice car. The owner never showed up and it was too hot to hang around any longer so I just snapped a couple and thought I'd share.

i had a 72 once (its where my 455 came from) i really liked that car it had that lesabre ride but it could get up and boogie.

i raced a kid with a 71 mustang w/302 and beat him by 3 car lengths. on the quarter and top end.

love that riviera styling. nothing like it. even the new ones are sharp. (comparatively speaking.) wth is up with the wheels? not sure what to think about them.....i think i could like them if there was a little more sidewall...

Helrazr, does beating up on a 302 with your 455 make you feel like a man?

any time a gm beats up a ford i feel good lol.

i guess i should have said that the kid with the mustang used to do a lot of trash talk about his car and all the big blocks and so on he could beat he did beat a few decent running cars but i put a stop to all that. boy to be young and stupid again.

btw larry i noticed that your avatar says that you live in liberal hell, i didn't know you lived in massachusetts.

My neighbor has a BEAUTIFUL!!! 1972 Buick Riviera with the 455, I have to put a couple pics of the car and engine on here, you should see what he did to the engine, it's a work of art! It's up on blocks right now due to needing a new transmission, but it's still nice as heck. He had the block balanced and blueprinted and even had a new manifold PRODUCED for it, yes, produced! I have always loved his car, but I didn't know that anyone else liked them... I have always heard people dissing these cars, but his will go 75 mph at 1300 rpms with the 2.xx someodd gears...

Love them old Rivs, pretty much all of them, but the boat tails gotta be a favorite.

Also love them old Caddy's, Bills in particular. Hey Bill have you noticed my Caddy project? I have a '70 Coupe DeVille that was supposed to go into the shop this past fall, but the stock cars filled the shop. Hopefully this year. I'm going for the same look as yours.

Whats with the wheels with no rubber on them?

You hit a rock and dent the rim. Whats with that? Not very practical on the road, pot holes and curbs and such will bend those wheels all to HELL! I don't think I like the DUB look........NO I know I don't like it!!
