ID on Ford short block

I just moved into a new house, and the guy left me a ford short block in the old barn. The block number is D1DE-6015-AA. I know its a 71, but what size is it? I know 6015 is the standard block number and the AA is for parts interchange. Just need what size the engine is and what is was more than likely out of. The Connecting Rod numbers are D1OE-6210-AA/CF2, and the Mains have W/620/EB casted on them. I couldn't get the crank numbers, the engine has just started to rust slightly and won't turn over. What do I have, thanks, Bill

Can anyone else help me. I don't want to have to pay money to find out some simple info. Gear heads need to stick together. Bill

Arrow

The second D in the prefix indicates it is for a Falcon/Maverick, and since they only had 2 engines a 6 and a V8, I would say that if it's a V8 it is probably (IS) a 302 from 1971 or there abouts, the date code can give exact info to casting day and assembly date.
