I'd like to fill some cut outs on fiberglass hood scoop
Hey guys,
I have a Fiberglass 69 Mach 1 hood scoop that I'm putting on my 67 hood. The hood scoop has the turn signal indicators in the back and I'd like to fill them in. I was hoping to get some input on best materials and methods to do. The two cut outs for the turn signal indicators are more like slits on the back, and are 3/8" tall and about 5" wide. The fiberglass is maybe 1/8" thick. I have fully cured the hood scoop by letting it sit outside for 5 days. Is this something I can put fiberglass cloth on the back and then fill in with fiberglass filler? Thanks. |
you can bevel, lay in your mat, and apply fiberglass resin. Then give it some green than fill.

By green are you referring to fiberglass filler, and by 'fill' are you referring to non-fiberglass filler, such as polyester glazing, etc? |
