Like Crosley posted, these are older AFR heads with just the big cast "A", from before the time they started engraving their modern logo on the ends and stamping the ID codes on the ends....at least 12 years old, if not older.
Still a good thick head casting, nothing wrong with it, just not the latest design.
Go back even farther and they were called Brownfield heads, the originator of the SBC aftermarket aluminum head
Confirm the above. They are a very old set of AFR.
