length isnt going to tell us anything to do with the age, all four lengths were made all years '69-85
around 1980 there was a BOP fits all case pattern and lockup converter, but thats the only external things changed over the years
it doesnt really mater what year it is anyways, what is more important is what application is came from, IE how strong the internals and packs and such are,
if it was behind a v-6 or small v-8 then it will need work and $ spent on it to be trustworthy behind any larger engine
also whether it is a 60 degree or a 90 degree housing
if 60 degree then its about useless except behind 4 cyl and most 6 cyl engines

have u got any pics of a 60 degree bellhousing th350??? if so, id love to see them... btw., the 700r4 came out in 82, so who says its not a 700r4?
