This 9 inch differential came with the project i bought and i am not sure what caliper brackets i need and or calipers. Is there anyway to identify it by this photo or another way?
Is there a tag on the differential? That would have all the identifying info and would be very helpful. The only factory 9" with rear discs that I am aware of were 70's Lincoln versallies and granada, but I can't say for sure that is what you have by that picture.
A lot of the parts for the versaille are no longer available. I have passed by a couple that were incomplete . some where I had a mustang magazine the had the complete rundown. you might find info on mustang forums, they were almost a bolt in swap on 65-66 mustangs.
the design of the 9 3/8 Disc rears optional on lincolns is very similar to the versallies 9, very few parts interchange . lincolns had a 5 on 5 wheel pattern and were wider. all those slider design ford calipers tend to wear off one side of the rotor, need checked for movement periodically and anti- seeze on the sliders. .
