Identifing 55 Chevy Cameo cawl tag

My vin number for my 55 Cameo is h255k031232 and my cawl tag only says gvw of 5000lb and below that it has engine rating. Most 55-59 Chevy trucks have codes below there cawl tags for paint, interior, body, etc. This one dosn't have any of that. Does anybody know if the cawl tag was made different in 55 for cameos? Does anyone else have a 55 cameo with the same cowl tag? I do know that the plucked 25-50 cabs off the production line and used those for Cameos. The cawl tag and all body parts look like original, so I pretty sure mines not a clone.
thanks
Jim

Different factories did different things with the cowl tags.

For instance---my late 66 Elky has only the interior and paint codes, This is a car built in Fremont Ca.

Most of the other plants building these cars will have all of the options ordered on the tag.

Not really sure if this is the Fisher Body or the Assembly division doing this.

door post vin tag on 55 cameo

Hi, I also have a 55 cameo with the same tag as mentioned . It does not have paint code or trim# on it. It is a v8 4speed sync. on floor and was built in Los Angeles has a code "L" in Vin VH255L. Anyway in Canada it seems I have limited info on these trucks. Any other info would be good . Am in the process of restoring it. Paint is supposed to be Bombay Ivory and Commercial Red I believe. Thanks Jim
