Identifying a posi Unit

Hi I've had a posi unit for about 20 years now that I have no idea what it is for. It doesn't have a ring gear on it. Can anyone help me identity it. It has 10 bolt holes the only markings that I can see are a 760 E 931 stamped on the side.

If we could see it then it would be much easier... (not to sound sarcastic) Just post a pic...

Here are some pictures of the posi unit. If I counted correctly it has 26 spline gears.
Thanks,
Kent

It looks like one of the early non-rebuildable Auburn posi units...?

But really I think its a 7.5 limited slip like from a Trans Am or something along those lines...?

Yup, looks like an Auburn style limited slip and is very similar to the Auburn type that came in the 8 3/4 Mopar from about 69 and newer. Can't be rebuilt? Well, for the Mopar units, there's no "serviceable" parts available for them and are considered unrebuildable too but if they are not totally burned up, they can be machined to work again. Been doing that for about 20 years now and they work very well.
