Identifying Quadrajet Ports on throttle body...
Can anyone please identify these 3 ports on my quadrajet?
The qjet is off of a 1972 cutlass with a 350, and had a charcoal canister. I had them just plugged off before but i need a port for timing, and i need to know the correct way to deal with these ports on my '66 oldsmobile. It has a vented tank with no canister. Thank you, Mark

Under what topic is the answer in please? I can't seem to find it. I've read through my Doug Roe book 40 times and I cant find anything that can help identify those ports either...

1Bad,
A lot of those links don't work anymore. I'd say #1 was ported vacuum and #2 was manifold vacuum. No idea about #3.

The ported one will NOT have vacuum at idle. Correct on #2.

Is it possible #3 is the purge for the canister? Seems to me those bottom two are awfully large ports to be vacuum for vacuume advance unless they're intended to be tee'd for other stuff?

#3 is the ported vac... The others are manifold vac...

That's definetly a BOP Q-jet, I use #3 on my Q-jet for vac. advance, It's manifold vac on mine, Mabye BOP's are diff.
Plug 1 & 2.

On my Q-jet, I plug the vac. timing can into port #3 and the timing advances at idle.
again
