Idle problems

Ihave a SB350 with Elderbrock intake and 600 Holly. My problem is the idle screw is completely turned out and the motor idles to fast when timing is correct. Besides the idle screw is there another way to adjust idle?

The secondary`s have a adjustment as well. If the secondary plate is open too far it`ll pull fuel out of the boosters and the car will idle high.
The secondary has a adjustment on the bottom of the baseplate so the carb has to be removed to adjust it. Or the secondary`s are sticking partially open which is what my Demon used to do, I could reach over and force them shut with modest pressure, but they wouldn`t reopen so I had to remove the carb anyway and sand out the high spots in the throttle bores so they would operate correctly.

If the carb has to be so far open at idle, it needs more idle timing.

What are the details? cam, pcv etc. manifold vacuum leaks verified accurate timing tab location......

You positive there's not an open vacuum port or a vacuum leak somewhere?

Also be positive the fast idle cam isn't sticking.

check too that the throttle linkage isnt stuck or not adjusted. Remove your throttle linkage and see if it affects the idle
