If I Had Only Known

Almost everyone who had a driver's licence before 1980, has owned a car that they regret selling. Maybe it "just needed an engine" or "It's taking up too much space" or "the wife doesn't like it sittin' around". If you had it today, it would be your pride and joy.

Post the car(s) that you wish you had kept. I'll start.

55 F100 (sold in 1973 for $15)
55 Ford 2 door sedn (sold in 1977 for $100)
62 Galaxie Sunliner conv. sold in 1973 for $10)
53 F150 (sold in 1978 for $300)
66 Fairlane 500 XL (sold in 1974 for $200)
69 Cyclone GT 428SCJ (sold in 1974 for $800)
72 Imperial LeBaron (sold in 1979 for $700)
66 Olds Ninety Eight LS (traded in 1978 for T-10 4speed)

Only one, 1969 Mustang Mach I original 4 speed car with the 351W. Sold it for $1300 with a spun rod bearing and the engine partially disassembled in 1985. Used the cash to purchase a good running Honda CB 900F Supersport with a Kerker pipe, at the time I thought it was a good deal...I got a running summer vehicle and got rid of a car I had blown three engines out of.

I want another one someday, I still love that old car...it was like sitting in a torpedo.
