Nobody will probably like this one. It is german based, but american made.
I would build an all Pauter machine 3517cc (215 ci.) vw based 4 cylinder.
96mm (3.78") stroke and bore of 108mm (4.25") little more than half of a 427.
billet flanged crank, titanium rods, je pistons.
Pauter machine super pro heads with 57mm intake (2.244")(370cfm@ .700") and 47mm exhaust (1.850")(325cfm@.700") titanium intake and inconel exhaust valves.
billet roller cam, specs to be determined.
hilborn mechanical alcohol injection with a gt42R-ish turbo blowing through it.
2" primaries on the header and a 4" downpipe.
I would like to say I would put it in my drag bug project, but with around 1,000 hp that might be a little much.
So I would put it in a front engine dragster with a powerglide and a mark williams modular rear end. With a 1500 lb. total weight and estimated 800hp@the wheels it should appoximately be:
With 31" tall tires and 3.88 gear
Power to Weight Ratio: 1.88
60 Foot E.T. : 1.00
1/8 Mile E.T. : 4.53
1/8 Mile Trap Speed : 149.98
1/4 Mile E.T. : 7.18
1/4 Mile Trap Speed : 187
1/4 Mile Trap RPM : 7,851
